Guernsey gained widespread attention with the film release of 'The Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society.' Recognising the opportunity, Visit Guernsey wanted to promote the message 'Visit the island that inspired the film,' aiming to attract new visitors and reconnect with past ones while emphasizing the island's rich historical significance.
Their approach involved a multimedia campaign, featuring articles in the Telegraph magazine, creating an engaging AMP story, and maintaining a strong online and social media presence.
I undertook the task of crafting a mood board that captured the essence of island-hopping adventures across Herm, Sark, Alderney, and Lihou, showcasing the diverse wildlife and top beach spots. This was complemented by carefully edited videos, highlighting the island's natural beauty and popular activities.
While initially focusing on mobile accessibility, collaboration with the development team ensured a smooth transition to desktop viewing. Our innovative efforts garnered recognition, with The Telegraph leading the way in adopting the AMP story format for branded content, a success celebrated at Google’s AMP Conference in Tokyo.
